Ah, the life of a mom. Or more specifically, the life of a mom who wants to have a chic, guest-worthy home but hasn't found a style that stands up against LIFE yet.
I'm Maria Kovach, and I'm a mom first, an interior designer second. I don't live in a Pinterest-perfect home, but I'm proud to call it mine. I wouldn't trade it (or my kids) for all the chic-ness in the world. But I also won't live in a tasteless environment either.
As a mom, business woman--or both--you need a place where you can be truly alone and at peace. Meditate, read a book, drink a glass of wine (or two). Do whatever it takes to rejuvenate yourself so that you can return as an even more involved mom and a more highly motivated business woman.
I don't need to convince you of how much you truly NEED this, so let's cut to the chase.
"Where are the light fixtures?! The construction team needs to re-wire this. Aren't we wiring this whole room for surround sound? You already put the drywall up? Take it down. Wire it. Do whatever you have to but watch the budget."
Sold-colored walls need a pop of interest. Because companies like Thibaut have gorgeous wallpaper selections (I have a ton of their lookbooks!), adding a lovely print to your space is really a no-brainer at this point.
