Every November I find myself thinking about gratitude. As you may know, I’m a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard, and between Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11 and Thanksgiving, I think about thankfulness a lot during this time of year. I’m grateful I had the opportunity to serve my country and defend our freedoms. I’m grateful for my family and friends and all the things that make my life mine.

I’m also grateful for all of you — our Simply Stated Interiors clients. This year, as I celebrate my 10-year anniversary, I’m especially grateful! Without all of you, I wouldn’t have been able to turn my passion into a career.  And not just any career, but one that I look forward to every day, one that has forced me to grow in ways I never dreamed of, and one that has helped me support my family — for an entire decade!

I hope the feeling is mutual. I hope that my team and I have helped you make your houses feel even more like homes and that we have brightened and beautified your lives. We’ve seen plenty of trends come and go over the past 10 years, but the one thing that has remained the same is our dedication to our clients. We want to create rooms that are beautiful and practical for your lives. We want to design spaces that you want to really live in and use. Your home shouldn’t feel like a museum and good interior design shouldn’t feel inaccessible or impractical to everyday living. Interior design is a necessity, not a luxury.  I have always believed this, and always will believe this.

While taking this time to reflect on what we’ve accomplished and how far we’ve come, I’m also looking forward to the next 10 years. I am excited about all the joys and challenges to come, and hope that you are there with us. Here’s to the next decade!
